Q. |
What do you do in your spare time? |
A. |
When I get a moment, I find myself thinking about improving any space in which I’m sitting. It’s a bit of an obsession. However, it’s not a temptation in the great outdoors, which is already perfect. That makes getting away to the country one of the most relaxing things I can do. |
| |
Q. |
What are you currently reading? |
A. |
War and Peace. |
| |
Q. |
What’s on your desk right now? |
A. |
A box of keys, a latte and a pile of contracts. |
| |
Q. |
Describe a time when you went above and beyond for a client. |
A. |
I stayed up all night crunching numbers for an investor, and though that doesn’t sound glamorous, it was necessary at the time.
|
| |
Q. |
What’s your favorite spot in Beacon Hill? |
A. |
The Charles River, because I love to run there. |
| |
Q. |
Describe the most amazing property you’ve ever sold. |
A. |
People stand out more than the properties, though I really enjoy looking at beautiful properties. I’m fortunate to be involved in real estate in Boston because of the variety of people I meet. |
| |
Q. |
What’s the most enjoyable part of being in the real estate business? |
A. |
I love seeing a client go from uncertainty to certainty – realizing that their new place will enhance their life in ways they never imagined. Also, I enjoy helping people solve everyday problems (like what to do if they can’t get any water out of their kitchen faucet). |

A. |
I can wiggle my ears |
| |
Q. |
What are you currently reading? |
A. |
Aside from "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie?" to my baby girl? I just finished "Girl with the Pearl Earring" by Tracy Chavelier. If you like art history i would highly recommend. She took Vermeer's famous work and built a story behind it. |
| |
Q. |
What’s your favorite mobile app? |
A. |
Shazam has to be up there, though OpenTable and Grocery iQ give it a run for its money. |
| |
Q. |
What’s on your desk right now? |
A. |
My Mac, my phone, a glass of water and a file folder. I try and keep a clear work space. It keeps my head clear! |
| |
Q. |
Describe the most amazing property you've ever seen. |
A. |
When I was working at Marston as an agent, no property was able to sum up the history and elegance that is Beacon Hill like a home with a stunning ballroom lined with shelves of historic manuscripts and finished with beautiful chandeliers, a monumental fireplace and flanking bookshelves. The “amazing” came in when the owner pushes a hidden button on the fireplace mantel, the left flanking bookshelf swings open and reveals a secret passage to the original family’s silver safe. It was straight out of a novel. |
| |
Q. |
What’s the most enjoyable part of being in the real estate business? |
A. |
You are never put in the same position twice. Whether you are involved in a property transaction, maintenance response or simply answering someones questions about their home or market, the circumstances surrounding each event are always different. I enjoy having to synthesize my experience in the architecture industry with that in the real estate industry to come up with creative and sound solutions for each situation. |
| |
Q. |
What’s your favorite spot in Beacon Hill? |
A. |
The corner of Beacon and Charles Streets is a great spot to see all the aspects of Boston city living converge—people enjoying the Common, shopping on Charles Street, the traffic of Beacon Street, the beauty of the Back Bay and the downtown skyline. It all comes together for me at that spot.
|
| |
Q. |
Do you have any special skills or training? |
A. |
Yes, I am trained in Art History, with a focus in Historic Preservation as well as Architecture. All of which is extremely useful when working in such a historic neighborhood! I am also a swim instructor and certified lifeguard, I have been in and around the water all my life. |
